There are two kinds or alpacas, Huacaya (the fluffy kind) and Suri. Suri alpaca fiber grows in long drapey ropes off the body. When these two kinds of fiber are blended together they make a very silky drapey, but heavier yarn.  This is the yarn used to knit these two scarves. The handle / softness is exceptional and the fibers are cool to the touch which is a characteristic of the Suri fibers.

One is longer, (52 x 6) one is wider (42 x 10) .... both are a touch of luxury !
